Thank you for your interest in learning more about the Arnold-Carnevale Family Foundation. I am Dr. Chai Lee Arnold, current CEO and founder of this organization, which my wife, Kaylie Rose Arnold, and I started as a mechanism through which to give back to the Coachella Valley, a community we grew up in, our families live in, and which we are excited to continue to serve.
I graduated from Cathedral City High School in 2015, and thanks to the excellent mentorship from local teachers, counselors and youth soccer coaches, I was able to apply and be the fortunate recipient of the Gates Millennium Scholarship, which provided me with a full ride scholarship to college. I attended Stanford University, where I received a Bachelor's in Science in Human Biology in 2019. Inspired by the health challenges I saw my parents faced with growing up, I pursued the premedical track and received a full-tuition scholarship to attend Harvard Medical School, where I graduated with my MD in 2023. In medical school, I found myself drawn to Family Medicine, a specialty that is built on the foundational role a doctor can play as a community leader, with the ability to care for patients of all ages, form long-term relationships with patients, perform procedures and care for patients in acute settings as well. I will be graduating from Family Medicine Residency at UCLA in June 2026, having served as a Chief Resident in my final year of training. I am excited to be returning to the Coachella Valley in 2026, where I have accepted a position as Core Faculty in the Family Medicine residency program at Eisenhower Medical Center. As I start my career as a physician in the desert, I hope to be a leader not only in medicine but also in the community, inspiring youth to engage in healthy habits and follow their passions, care for the underserved and sick in our community, and advocate for higher quality of life for all Coachella Valley residents.
Our vision for the Arnold-Carnevale Family Foundation is to be a local non-profit organization that can provide more opportunities to youth in our community to pursue their future goals, promote healthy living and behaviors, and align with existing community partners to broaden the positive impact we can have across the Desert.
We appreciate your support as we embark on this journey!
